THE HO CHI MINH COMMUNIST YOUTH UNION AND SABECO SIGNED COOPERATION FOR 2022-2024

The Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union signed co-operation agreement with SABECO for the development of young talents, cultural, sports, tourism and sustainability in Vietnam

 

On April 18, 2022, the Signing Ceremony of the Cooperation Program for the period 2022-2024 between the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (HCYU) and the Saigon Beer-Alcohol-Beverage Corporation (SABECO) took place at the headquarters of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union in Hanoi. This will establish a long-term strategic and sustainable cooperation based on the joint objectives of both parties.

The Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (HCYU) and SABECO signed a 3-year cooperation.

The 3 years cooperation from 2022-2024 between SABECO and HCYU will focus on 4 main areas:

  • National development activities, with a focus on promoting and supporting the development of young talent; accompanying the youth in business startup, starting a career, livelihood support, training and improving competitiveness of small and medium household business as well as encouraging and honoring exemplary workers.
  • Cultural preservation activities to encourage a healthy, positive living culture in the community, such as physical and sports activities and spiritual strengthening cultural activities.
  • Activities that promote a civil lifestyle that helps raise awareness of healthy living and responsible drinking manners, especially among the youth.
  • Sustainable development activities that promote sustainable development through activities that encourage the youth to protect the environment.

Both parties agreed on respective area of responsibility in the process of jointly implementing activities in provinces and cities nationwide on annual basis.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, H.E. Mr. Ngo Van Cuong, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (HCYU), said: “Both sides have determined that this is a comprehensive cooperation program with specific contents, detailed assignments and clear tasks for SABECO and the Committees and Departments of the HCYU in advising and implementing the cooperation program. This joint program will also continue to create a favorable mechanism focusing on supporting start-up businesses; carrying out activities associated with cleaning up the seaside, promoting indigenous products of Vietnam and implementing sustainable development activities for young people in accordance with the actual conditions in each locality. With the successful signing of the cooperation program and the establishment of very specific contents, we hope that there will be meaningful programs and activities in the near future, realizing the strengths and potentials of both sides towards the same common goal for a sustainable Vietnam.”

In 2021, as the pandemic created countless social disturbances, SABECO, with its Bia Saigon brand, has coordinated with HCYU to implement many meaningful activities, including the social movement “Collecting a Million Stars” – encouraging the community to join hands and share the spirit of “Going Forward Together” and supporting small household businesses in Ho Chi Minh City that were severely impacted by the pandemic. In addition to these, the recent “Tet One Home” campaign donated 1530 coach tickets, 270 air tickets and 200 ship tickets to exemplary factory workers and Youth Unionists who volunteered in COVID-19 prevention. These activities have created a solid basis for SABECO and the HCYU to aim for an even more comprehensive cooperative relationship starting from 2022 onwards through this 3 years partnership.
