On May 15, 2026, Ho Chi Minh City University of Banking (HUB), in collaboration with the Securities Research and Training Center (SRTC) under the State Securities Commission of Vietnam, organized a field visit and practical learning program at Saigon Beer Nguyen Chi Thanh Brewery, a member of Saigon Beer-Alcohol-Beverage Corporation (SABECO).
Welcoming and engaging with the delegation was Mr. Lam Du An, Deputy General Director in charge of Technical and Production Affairs, together with representatives and specialists from various SABECO departments and functions. The visiting delegation was led by Dr. Nguyen Anh Vu, Head of the Faculty of Finance at HUB, and Ms. Tran Thi Thanh An, Deputy Head of SRTC's Ho Chi Minh City Branch, accompanied by faculty members from HUB and SRTC, as well as more than 45 students from the HUB Finance Club (BUSF), finalists of the Finance Battle Competition (FBAC XIV), and participants in the Virtual Stock Investment Competition jointly organized by HUB and Curtin University (Australia).
As part of the program, students had the opportunity to tour the Saigon Beer Nguyen Chi Thanh Brewery, visit the Beer Museum, explore the Research & Development Center and Pilot Brewing Facility, and gain firsthand insights into the company's production processes, operational practices, and business strategies.

During the exchange session, Mr. Lam Du An shared SABECO's remarkable 150-year journey of growth and development, highlighting the historical milestones, achievements, and enduring significance of its iconic brands, Bia Saigon and 333. He also introduced students to SABECO's governance and production management model, including its network of 26 breweries nationwide, the SABECO 4.0 corporate governance framework, key production strategy pillars, cost management best practices, and the company's approach to implementing sustainable development standards.
The Q&A session generated enthusiastic engagement, with students raising questions on a wide range of topics, including product strategy, competitive positioning, brand building, sustainability initiatives, and SABECO's ESG practices.
The visit provided students with a valuable opportunity to gain practical exposure to manufacturing operations, financial management, investor relations, and corporate culture at one of Vietnam's leading FMCG companies and a major player in the beverage industry. SABECO is also one of the key listed companies on the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange, with a market capitalization exceeding VND 60 trillion.

The opportunity to observe real-world business operations and interact directly with SABECO's senior leadership helped students better understand the connection between corporate strategy, products, branding, production operations, and the financial and investment performance of a business.
The program concluded with meaningful experiences and valuable lessons for participating students. It also served as a testament to HUB's experiential learning philosophy, which emphasizes strong collaboration with reputable organizations and businesses to provide students with opportunities to learn, grow, and develop through real-world experiences.
